THE WORK OF  JACK STAGER

I graduated from Romeo High School in 2022 and completed my first year of college at Macomb Community College. I now attend Michigan State University and will get my degree in Sports Journalism. During high school, I had an Internship with WBRW TV, where I produced my own sports show 2 Minute Warning, and was the sportscaster play-by-play announcer for all of Romeo High School's sporting events. Through these experiences, I am learning to become a Sports Journalist and announcer. During high school, I was a part of the video production program for four years, and in my junior and senior years, I got the opportunity to produce the daily announcements through YouTube Live Stream. During my Freshman year of college, I continued my internship with WBRW.TV and also wrote and reported for local High School sporting events with Macomb Daily Newspaper. Now, in my Sophomore at MSU, I help produce the Spartan Sports Report, a student-run show discussing the results of all MSU sports. See [Spartan Sports Report] PAGE FOR MORE. Along with SSR, I also have an internship with Big 10+. A student-ran production, producing Michigan State Sports on Big 10+. Here I have received mainly Play-by-play experience, however, I have camera experience, editing experience, along with graphics and production. See [BIG 10+ WORK] PAGE FOR MORE. I also work with Impact 89 FM radio, MSU's student radio station. Here I do play-by-play radio announcing, along with being Impact's Sports Editor, where I edit our sports articles, and write my own as well including game recaps, film breakdowns, and feature stories. My Work Throughout High School

Work at WBRW TV

2 Minute Warning is a sports talk show produced by myself and my partner, Gabe Peraino, we have ran this for about 7 seasons now and over 50 episodes. We run this through local TV station, WBRW TV. Along with my sports show I also did play by play and announcing for Romeo High School. Which I occasionally still do from time to time.

High school work and success

Throughout my four years in Romeos video production program I produced my segments, however my biggest accomplishment was establishing the daily announcements. Where every morning all of Romeos 9-12 grade students and teachers would tune in at 8:55am and watch the announcements. My segment was the "Hall of Fame" where we would discuss Romeo sports scores, interview athletes, and talk about the big games coming up.

Beginning of Freshman year in College at MCC

Beginning  in my first year at Macomb Community College, I received an internship with a local newspaper, Macomb Daily. Throughout the fall and winter of 2022, I was able to be a sports writer and freelance journalist for Macomb Daily. Under the work I did at Macomb Daily,  it allowed me to keep writing and producing stories as I was transitioning to get ready to move to Michigan State University.

Along with the Hall of Fame and the daily announcements, I was also one of the head sports writers for the Romeo Newspaper. My articles consisted of me talking about the big games, featuring athletes, recapping events, and everything in between.
